Aisha Becker-Burrowes is a social entrepreneur and impact consultant working at the intersection of media, communications, and social change, with expertise in racial equity and gender justice. As co-founder and co-executive director of FEMINIST, she transformed the largest social-first platform serving women, girls, and gender-expansive people into a non-profit media company, leading a global community of over 6 million by amplifying intersectional feminist changemakers, artists, organizations, and creators.
Through Studio Watts, her social impact agency and creative collective, Aisha brings together mission-driven storytellers and purpose-fueled creatives of color to drive systemic change. Her experience spans major media companies, including Netflix, ViacomCBS, and ESSENCE Magazine, where she has spearheaded award-winning social impact campaigns empowering audiences to create change and inspire action around pressing social issues.
Her strategic communications and advocacy work has been pivotal in developing essential resources on reproductive rights, enhancing voter engagement, and forging coalitions for gender equity across the nation, including co-organizing the Gender Liberation Movement, a grassroots collective that mobilizes thousands through direct action and policy interventions advocating for bodily autonomy and gender justice. A prominent speaker, she has been featured at the Women's March, SXSW, and in publications including Essence Magazine, Rewire Newsroom, and Pop Sugar.
Holding a master's degree in Media, Culture, and Communications from New York University, Aisha studied the intersection of social media and global movements.
